(BRC 2012) 25-27 June 2012

BRC 2012 will be held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, 25-27 June 2012, and hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.The Borneo Research Council is a non-profit international organisation. It promotes research in the social, biological and medical sciences as they relate to Borneo. BRC 2012 invites proposals for both Papers and Panels relevant to the overall theme of "Identities, Cultures and Environments", and which focus on one or more of the following subthemes:

Aging* Biodiversity and Ecology * Cultural Heritage & Hybridisation* Education and Indigenous Communities*Ethnicity, Diversity & Identity * Forestry*Gender and Social Transformation * Health and Healing * History,*Anthropology and Archaelogy* Human Resources &Industrial Relations* ICT, Media and Communication*Languages* Marine Resources * Migration, Diasporas and Border Issues * Property and Land Issues * Security Issues *Sustainable Development * Tourism*

To submit an abstract for a Paper presentation, or to propose a Panel, please follow the procedures given at the conference website:
Presenters will have 20 minutes to present, plus up to 10 minutes discussion time (subject to change).

Deadlines: Panel proposals, submission of Proposals: 31 Dec 2011. Paper proposals, submission of Abstracts: 28 February 2012 Notification of acceptance of Panels 31 January 2012

Notification of acceptance of Abstracts 31 March 2012.

Languages of the conference. The principal organising language is English. Papers are welcome in any of English, Bahasa Melayu/ Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia.
